I made my PSP to be bricked twice and miraculously I successfully recovered it.

Once I chose System Restore from Tools. When it reset itself, the black menu came up with red writings with a title saying 'PSP M33 System Recovery Mode' which may look something like this:

Do not mess around with anything. Connect your PSP to your PC and choose 'Memory Stick' connection mode from 'Activate USB'. A window will pop up on your PC's screen where you will have MOVIE, ISO, MUSIC folders and etc. Put the EBOOT.PBP file of the custom firmware you are using in this root:
PSP/GAME/RECOVERY folder

Disconnect from your PC and return to the menu and choose Recover from PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP and wait for a while. Your PSP will be recovered successfully. Don't delete the file which you may need it in the future. Happy gaming!

Advice to PSP owners:
If you have a custom firmware, never hold L and R buttons when you turn-on your PSP. It will directly jump to Recovery Mode again.

Here is a very useful video about recovering PSP:

Hope it helps you!

Re: 50% chance of recovering your PSP

I think this is only when you stuff up something in F1 not F0. Meaning, ... you have a semi-brick since F0 hasn't been damaged but F1 has. And it's more of a 100% success, you just need to determine the brick you have. A damaged F0 most people would use a Pandora. Good job on the tutorial, I thought this was a basic? Whatever, oh yeah at the bottom of the last post isn't it hold the R button? Not L and R.

But thanks for the tutorial and video.

Re: 50% chance of recovering your PSP

Yeah it is only the R button to hold not L too. I was always holding L+R buttons before. I want to take more risk by hacking my PSP even further, but my small brother doesn't want me to mess it up because he is currently playing FFVII:CC.

Re: 50% chance of recovering your PSP

There is a link to unbrick your psp in almost every single video that tells you how to get CFW on youtube. And none of them work for me D: . Oh well, I told my friend I had saves on my psp and I'd only trade mine for his if he took my PSP and memory card lol.
