Put the memory stick in, now hold down the Left Trigger(the clear button on the top left of the PSP) continue to hold down the left trigger while you insert the battery. Continue to hold down the left trigger for about 10 - 20 seconds or until a menu shows up. This menu will have(if you installed everything correctly) 3 options - DCv3(3.71m33); DCv4(3.80m33); and DCv5(3.90m33) chose the one you want and press X it will take you to another menu. The X button will install the m33 firmware and the O button will install the official firmware. You want to press the X to install the M33 custom firmware. EDIT: It makes no difference in the type of processor.

Also you don't go into Games and click on anything, that is not how it installs the custom firmware, in fact the PSP should never boot up so you can get to Games. It's all automatic until the first menu comes up on a black screen with colored writing. Simple: put in the memory stick that you made with the pandora deluxe v0.1 hold down the Left trigger while inserting the pandora battery continue to hold for 10 - 20 seconds or until a black screen with writing comes up. Follow directions on the screen. The PSP should not come up to the XMB. If that don't work try this. To correct the 2.71 version error go into recovery, configuration, scroll down to GAME FOLDER KERNEL press the X button until it says anything but 1.50. There will be a line toward the bottom in red that will indicate which kernel it is changing to. exit out and start psp go to games and run the pandora programs for the firmwares that you want to run, this will not install the firmware on the psp only do some file changes on the memory stick, after you finish that go back and do the Hold left trigger while inserting the battery thing again. By some strange bit of luck it might work.

You did not answer the question about are you using the pandora battery. You need to relax and follow everything to the letter. You have done everything so many times you have forgotten something and not catching something. Every little step is important there are no shortcuts. You should just put it down and wait until tomorrow and restart from scratch reading everything and not get in a hurry or get frustrated. Frustration will lead you to skipping steps without even noticing it. You are frustrated now and are trying to come up with solutions instead of checking the basics. EDIT: Please start using the edit button instead of making double posts. Thank you.

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | Re: the best magic memory stick creator ever yeah im using the pandora when i try and boot up the firmware and holding down the L trigger, and i believe i have followed everything step by step but i just dont understand. i load the program on the computer, select everything that i want to install "so i select everything", let it go to the game folder, and select my psp drive, then click start, after it has finished, close the program. take out my memory card and battery, convert the battery to pandora and put the stick in and then hold the L trigger while inserting pandora and the program should boot up. does it matter that in configuration screen on my psp, that the "autorun program at /psp/game/boot/eboot.pbp" is disabled? |

What is the size and manufacturer of the memory stick? With the PSP on, go to Games, memory stick, do not click the X on memory stick but click the triangle. A menu will come up on the right side of the screen. Select info, the bottom line of the info screen there will be something about magic gate. Does it say supported or unknown? | |
