How to install IR Shell on 3.40 OE-A

IRSHELL 3.9 INSTALLATION TUTORIAL ON 3.40 OE-A

Well this has been bugging me since i wanted to use irshell again since i updated to 3.40 OE-A. I searched for tutorials all over the net only to come to a dead end. People all said that irshell on 3.40 OE-A will have broken features. This issue really annoyed me but i think i might have found a simple method to make it work!!!

This tutorial will guide users to successfully installing irshell 3.9 on 3.40 OE-A

First you will need to download these files:
The latest IR Shell (3.9)

Method:

1. Format your memory stick. First using windows then format using your psp format memory stick function.
2.Extract irshell from the file you downloaded earlier.
3. Copy over all 3 folders (IRSHELL, PSP and seplugins) to your psp. After this is done move the 3.10-3.40 folder from IRSHELL->PATCHES and place it somewhere you can acess it later.
4. Eject your PSP and turn it off.
5. Turn your PSP onwhile holding the r trigger to enter recovery mode.
6. Go to Advanced ->Advanced configuration and disable all options
7. Now go to configuration and disable the last 3 options. Make sure you leave the kernal as 3.40
8. Plug your psp into the computer and enable usb. Now return to Advanced and enable flash0. You should now be able to access flash0 on your computer.
9. Enter the kn folder. Now you will see many prx files. DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!!! Instead copy the irspatch from the patches folder you moved earlier into the folder.
10. Now edit the text file "pspbtcnf_game.txt" and enter in between ata.prx and umdman prx entries in the text file "/kd/irspatch.prx" (without quotations)

eg.

$/kd/ata.prx
/kd/irspatch.prx
$/kd/umdman.prx

11. Now lastly in the recovery menu disable all plugins except irsautoboot.prx if you want irshell to autoboot instead of the psp XMB.
12. Exit recovery menu and launch the program ir shell ( there should be 2 but when using 3.40 kernal use the eboot with the beach background). IRSHELL should launch and all functions should work if not check if you applyed the patch correctly and have all the right files.

I hope I have helped many 3.40 OE-A users and please inform me if i have made a mistake anywhere in this guide.
