which function can i used to make DCv7 to downgrade official 4.01 ?
A real memory stick not a fake one. MagicGate supported. Go to games, memory stick do not press X to enter mem stick but press the triangle button. Then select Information from the menu that comes up on the right. There will be 3 lines of text the last one saying MagicGate if it says "Supported" then it is real and will work fine for this process, if it says "Unknown" then it is a fake and will not work for this process.

Forget all those other settings and make the DCv7 for 4.01m33-2 when the DCv7 boots up there will be the option to install 4.01m33-2 or official firmware.

I doubt that it is firmware 4.10, more likely 4.01 or 4.05.

How new is the PSP??

There are some new PSP slims that have a different motherboard that at the moment is unhackable by any method.

You don't use any of those special functions. Follow the instructions in the first post and don't go and add stuff. Direction are there for a reason, they work.

It's not the firmware that makes it unhackable it is the hardware and it depends on when you bought it and how new the stock was when you bought it. There is no way to tell with out taking it apart and that will void your warranty. If a correctly made battery and memory stick that works on another PSP will not work on the slim then it is a good indication that it is of the new variety.

At this time there is no word on whether they will be able to hack it or not. I suspect so but no word so far.
