At this time there is no word on whether they will be able to hack it or not. I suspect so but no word so far.
Read please. The number would be printed on the motherboard.

When you take the PSP apart you can see the # printed on the circuit board.

warranty = guarantee

Try this[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] i've had better luck with this on vista. download the attached file and the instructions are in the post.

Did you check that the memory stick is magic gate supported using the PSP or is it just because it is wrote on the outside of the mem stick?

It will install 3.80m33-5 and the upgrade to 4.01m33-2 is simple.

Are you holding the correct button down before during and after you insert the pandora battery??

The only thing it can be is the memory stick, the battery is doing it's job and it's a working phat so it has to be the memory stick creation. Your only choice now that you can not make the magic memory stick is to purchase one ready made.

Vista really limits your choices in the creation programs. Both of those programs I have successfully produced the magic memory stick on Vista and can not figure out what you are doing wrong. If you can get a comp running XP there are more choices in the creation of the stick.

At this time the TA-88v3 can not be downgraded(I don't like that term because it is misleading) by any means that are available to us. To say that does not mean that Sony does not have a way but we don't.

The TA-88v3 reads the battery but it can not accept the memory stick commands.
