Here we have another Windows app to easily create a magic memory stick for use with a Pandora battery.

As illustrated in the screen shot, PSP Grader not only creates a magic memory stick, it packs a few additional options: inject an IPL only, clean the Pandora stick ridding any files created by PSP Grader, and the ability to change the default trigger to load Pandora when you’re ready.

Now you just need the Pandora battery itself.

Coming Soon:

• RAR & 7z Loading - Rar loading didn’t make the port to pascal but only due to time restraints, it and 7zip loading are planned!
• Backup Script - Once again due to time constraints a backup function didn’t make it. Grader never had one and mine never worked to begin with so I put this off till it could be done right!
• SPEED - While this app is no slower than anything I have written before it is slower than Grader 6. We have already begun finding ways to speed up the app and it will be sped up soon!

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 or Newer

HOW TO USE PSP GRADER 8:
Connect your psp or memory stick to the PC at any time before
pressing "Create Pandora Stick". If a psp is detected the drive letter
will be selected for you, if not then choose the drive letter of your
memory stick or psp.

The official 5.00 firmware update file is needed for this process. If the
file is already in the same directory as the application it will be loaded
for you. If not you may click "Load Official 5.00 eBoot" to load the file
or click download to retrieve the file from the internet.

Optionally select the trigger you wish to launch pandora with, the
default for this is the Left Trigger. It is not necessary to change this
setting.

It is optional but recommended to format the memory stick. If you
wish to do so, then check the format box. If you need to click on the
"Backup Memory Stick" button to back your memory stick up. Files
backed up will be placed in a folder in the same location as grader.

When you are ready to make your magic memory stick, click "Create
Pandora Stick".


OTHER FUNCTIONS
Inject IPL Only - This will inject the Time Machine IPL to the memory
stick. Use this on other memory sticks to boot from a pandora battery
as if it were a normal battery. You can also use this to reattempt IPL
injection if it failed during "Create Pandora Stick".

Clean Pandora Stick - This will attempt to remove all the files and
folders created by Grader. This is not needed but will save space if
you do not plan to use the MS for pandora anymore. Some directorys
may remain if files have been added to them after the stick was made,
you can just delete them yourself or format the stick.


USING YOUR MMS
Your MMS contains the universal unbricker by Dark Alex. In general,
start by putting the MMS into the psp if it is not already there. Holding
the pandora trigger (Default is the L Trigger) insert your pandora
battery. Let go of the trigger when the software loads on the screen.
Secure your battery and install M33 Custom Firmware. For more
information refer to the documentation for Despertar del Cementerio.


TROUBLESHOOTING
IPL Installation Problems - If the IPL fails to install, pay attention to
the particular error message. Remember admin privileges are required
for IPL Installation. Admin privileges are automatically asked for under
Vista and 7. If there is not enough room for the IPL, try another
memory stick or use MSPformat on the memory stick using a PC with
2000 or XP. Rain's IPL Tool 2.0 or newer may be of help in diagnosing
memory stick problems or in using mspformat.

NOTE: If something where to go wrong in setting the trigger
configuration, the default config is the Left Trigger.

ok, before i go and do this! let me just see if i am correct on what this pandora battery is going to do for me!

i have a 3.95 ofw fat psp... i want to grade it so i can run a custom fireware.. to play homebrew ect....

this is what i would be achieving with this pandora battery and mms grader right?

or is there a easier way out there these days?

The only other way is to upgrade to 5.03 the try and run the ChickHEN exploit and then run the Helcat's Recovery flasher from that. You could also run the pandora battery app from the HEN exploit and then softmod the battery with the app then use the magic memory stick(that's what the PSP Grader 8 produces) with the pandora battery and upgrade that way, which is what I would recommend. After the conversion to custom firmware you can change the battery back to normal.
