Re: How to put video's on your PSP sorry if this has been repeated...i have a custom firmware psp with the videos in an mp4 format im sure because it runs on the ipod....ive created the folders 100MNV01 and even named the mp4s M4V12345.MP4 and so on and the psp still reads nothing in the videos section..."there are no videos. you can import content from a ps3 system or a PC. for details, refer to the instrcutions for the PSP system"...though it did do something once but i cant remember what and i got these videos which said "unsupported format"...anyways seeing that this site has a lot of hacks and tips on psps i was wondering if you guys knew how to get around this or atleast solve my delima... EDIT: I also forgot i also created MP_ROOT with 100MNV01 in there just incase you were wondering..

with a filename of MAQxxxxx.mp4(the x's being any 5 numbers). It could be that it is encoded in the h264 or AVC format and that is the directory and filename for those. If you formatted your memorystick with your PSP then the folder is already there, it might be 101AVN01 either way it should work.

Re: How to put video's on your PSP i tried that both 100ANV01 and 101ANV01 and named the file MAQ10001.mp4...both said "unsupported data" or something along the lines of that...is there some plugin im missing? like some file that allows me to play mp4s and stuff?...maybe i need to format my memory stick...

You could use WINAVI mp4 converter to convert the mp4 to a mp4 that the PSP will play. Is this true for all your videos or is it just this one?? If it is with all of them then save everything off of your memory stick and reformat with the PSP then copy everything back.

Re: How to put video's on your PSP ...ok i seem to be getting another problem...maybe its the converter....previously before i got a better and faster computer i installed SUPER which the psp had troubles trying to read the data and then gandalf told me it was probably the video codec, so anyways i changed it from "H.264/AVC" to "MPEG-4" and amzingly enough it worked...but now with the new computer i installed a new version of the program and now when i convert a mkv to an MP4 (MPEG-4 codec, 480:270~video scale, 16:9 aspect, 29.97 frame/sec, 720 bitrate (video options)) doesnt seem to recognise it as supported data...both MP_ROOT/101MNV01 and MP_ROOT/100MNV01 folders get the same result....unsupported data...is the converter? or something else?...
