| Site Admin | How to put video's on your PSP When you format a Memory Stick Duo or Pro Duo stick in your Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), you will get a new PSP folder, with sub-folders for “game”, “music”, “photo”, and “savedata”. But nothing for videos? What’s up with that? Well, it turns out that you need to put MPEG-4 video files in their own special folder, one that’s not in the PSP directory, but in the main root directory of the Memory Stick. Just create a new folder in the root directory named MP_ROOT, and then make a folder called 100MNV01 in there. So your .MP4 files should go into E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01, where E:\ is the drive letter of your Memory Stick. You also need a PC, as the converter software does not work with Macs. This MP_ROOT directory structure is directly cribbed from Sony’s UX/VZ Clie PDA series, which also plays MPEG-4 videos. First, we need to download 3GP Converter, or Rapiz (which is what i now use more often) i advise u use Rapiz Video Convertor becasue it has a great interface ad setting the quality seems easy and understand for beginners which is available on the Software section MP4's have to be named as follows e.g. M4V12345.MP4 M4V54321.MP4 AVC videos are named MAQxxxxx and go in the following folder X:/MP_ROOT/100ANV01/ e.g. MAQ12345.MP4 MAQ54321.MP4 Last edited by zMastaa; 11-20-2006 at 05:00 PM.. |

| GamingCrazy Newbie ![]() | AFter convverting, what do you use to watch the files? I tried some players I had installed and on WinAmp I hear it but there's no video, on WMP I can see and hear but it crashes after a while. What program should I use to watch mpeg4 files? Edit: nvm. I found out about vlc and it works fine |
