| Re: PSX Games on PSP - Guide/FAQ/Tutorial When does it lock up? Does it show the Sony diamond and then just go blank? Or does it freeze when you select it? Does it give you an error message? Have you tried a different game? If it freezes after the diamond (and before the psx logo) its definitely your game, try re-ripping converting to EBOOT again, or try getting a different .ISO file (that one may be corrupted). If its one of the other two there are multiple reasons why it may be acting up, and I'll need more info. |

| Re: PSX Games on PSP - Guide/FAQ/Tutorial It does nothing. It just shows the screen with the wavy lines on it with no text or icons. The game shows up in the list fine, it's just when I select it (x) that it does this. I've tried about 6 or 7 games now... Thanks for the quick reply!

| Re: PSX Games on PSP - Guide/FAQ/Tutorial Hmm.. I've seen this somewhere. Hang on, keep trying things, make sure it's in PSP\GAME, make sure "hide corrupt icons" isn't on and try switching to the 1.5 Kernal in recovery mode. I'll brb ![]() |

| Re: PSX Games on PSP - Guide/FAQ/Tutorial Darn, I saw the bit about the hide corrupt icons being disabled and got excited because I had this feature enabled, but still no dice. ![]()

| Re: PSX Games on PSP - Guide/FAQ/Tutorial Lol. Okay. It was your thread I was thinking of. The one that nobody answered. Alright. I remember having this problem a while back, but I solved it so quickly I don't remember how I did it. Go through your memory stick and make sure your folder hierarchy is what it should be. In the root you should see: MEMSTICK.IND MSTKPRO.IND \MP_ROOT \MUSIC \PICTURE \PSP \VIDEO '\' denotes a folder, the first two files may not be there. you should then have: \PSP\GAME \PSP\GAME150 \PSP\COMMON \PSP\SAVEDATA \PSP\SYSTEM You may not have savedata, and if you don't have GAME150, just create it. Your game EBOOTs should go in a folder named after the game, and that folder (with eboot.pbp and keys.bin) should go in the \PSP\GAME folder. To solve this problem let's "divide and conquer" First: Download the popstation and IsoBuster from this thread (I know these work). Second: Get a (preferably newer) psx disc and extract an image to your hard-drive using IsoBuster (you want RAW) then take your .bin file and convert it to an eboot using Popstation. When the popstation asks you if you want it placed on a psp, say "yes". If it still doesn't work, we know its not a routing problem. Third: Toggling some things in recovery mode (i.e. the Kernal in configurations, the CPU speed, the corrupt icons option), and try again. If still it doesn't work... Downgrade to 1.5 and re-upgrade using the links on this thread (I know they work), if that still doesn't work, post again and I'll try to get the games to freeze on my PSP so that we can see what is wrong with yours, at that point don't hope for much, though. Make SURE you have clean games and are coverting correctly and putting things in the proper folder. Btw, anybody else who can answer him, should. ![]() |

| Re: PSX Games on PSP - Guide/FAQ/Tutorial ok, I'm going to try downgrading to 1.5 and back to 3.03oe-c. I'll post my results after I'm done incase anyone else runs into this.

| Re: PSX Games on PSP - Guide/FAQ/Tutorial Ok so I did a fresh install by downgrading to 1.50, then back up to 3.03oe-c. It all works like a champ now. So either it was just a bad install or it was some of the custom stuff I did (fonts, gameboots, background colors...). So here's what I'm going to do next. I'm going to re-customize everything one by one, checking to see if psx's are still working after each. Maybe I can figure out where the problem started so others can advoid it. Thanks for all the help [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]!
