How To:Install PSPTube For Custom Firmware

Here is a little guide to help my fellow PSP owners on how to install the homebrew application "PSPTube".I am currently running 3.52 M33-4 on my PSP.

Install PSPTube For Custom Firmware

1.Download Files Needed
-Go to the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] of the creator of PSPTube there you can get the latest version
-Right now the latest version should be "PSPTube20070812.zip"
-Here is my "psptube.cfg" file that I use it has all the right settings so replace mines with the one in the download

2.Installing PSPTube On Your PSP Memory Stick
-Once you download the file you should see 3 folders named 100/150/& 200Over
-The folder we will be using is "200over"
-Rename the folder "200over" to "PSPTube" and drag in into the "GAME" folder on your PSP memory stick
-Once thats finish go into the recovery mode on your PSP and make sure your "GAME" folder is set to "Kernel3xx"

3.Creating a Network Connection
-Now go to "Network Settings" on your PSP XMB
-Create and save a network connection so we can use it with PSPTube
-Once your done with that go to the "GAME" folder on your PSP XMB and you will see PSPTube before you start it up MAKE SURE YOUR PSP WI-FI SWITCH IS ON

4.Using PSPTube
-Now that the homebrew application has started you should see the connection you made.Select that connection and it should connect
-Once connected the PSP keyboard should open up there you type what you want to see on Youtube
-Once you have figured out what you want to see press the "START" button and the videos should be there.Just click which one you want to
see.Now you wont see the video right away it will take time to buffer up and start to play

Here is a video of the application in action.

Well I hope my guide can help someone out there.

Enjoy!

No problem

Can a mod or admin please move this topic to the "PSP Help Tutorials"

Re: How To:Install PSPTube For Custom Firmware

Huh, didn't know they updated it, thanks for the guide!

Edit:They did update beyond the help of this guide, now there is another issue, it looks like the Developer ID isn't all you need for it to work now. Is there any chance you could try to get it to work? I'll try to get it to work myself but in case I can't get it to work it'd be great if you guys could. Download the latest one from the site [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] I used a translator for the site, as little as it helps, for those of you who can't read Japanese that well.

Re: How To:Install PSPTube For Custom Firmware

I tried getting this to work for hours, but it never worked out. It kept giving me a blank screen that said no video then it just shut off by itself. Thanks for ths guide, maybe it will work if i follow your instructions,. Here i go again.
