If it is a phat then the FOLDERS go into xSPGAME .

Have you installed the 1.50 Kernel addon for the phat?? If not you will need to do that. You can get it at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] towards the bottom of the page get version 2.

If you already have installed it or have finished installing it: shut down PSP completely, not sleep mode, turn back on while holding down the R trigger. It will start up into Recovery Menu. Go to Configuration, then scroll down to GAME Folder Kernel and change it to 1.50. NOTE that the 1.50 kernel option will be available even if you have not installed it. It shows up on a Slim and a Slim cannot even run it.

After the kernel change exit out of Recovery Menu, when PSP boots back up to normal go to Games, Memory Stick and run the program.
hey man thanks for quick reply.

haha i tried to cover everything to help speed the process but forgot one key ingredient - my PSP is a PHAT PSP not a slim.

im not sure if i have the kernel add-on thingy, i'll try that. but i tried performing the whole procedure with 1.5 kernel mode as that appeared in my recovery. still didnt work.

i'll follow that link and try download the kernel add-on, see if that helps.

thanks again. will let you know

EDIT: ok so i get 'incorrect or inexistant 150.pbp at root' and it doesnt install. because i can select 1.50 kernel mode from recovery does this mean its already there? sorry, i didnt actually install the CFW on this PSP myself, well i didnt create it, i used a pre-existing pandora kit with 3.90m33-3 firmware to install custom firmware over my OFW 3.95 i originally had.

have i done anything wrong here?

As I said in the earlier post the option shows up in Recovery whether it has been installed or not. Just because it is there does not mean it is installed. The option shows up even on a Slim and it is not possible for a Slim to run.

Download this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

After you unrar it change the name of EBOOT.pbp to 150.pbp and copy it to the root of the memory stick, should look like this > ms0:\150.pbp .

After that go back and run the program.

Re: [guide] How to make a Pandora battery

ok still not working? data is still corrupted.

the kernel add-on installed ok. so am i supposed to perform the whole procedure in kernel 1.5 mode? or 3.9 mode? i've tried either before, since installing the kernel addon properly, i tried running in 1.5 kernel mode.

this is EXACTLY what im doing:

1- format mem stick with PSP.
2- connect USB, run mspformat to format E (my PSP's assigned drive letter). Disconnect USB, remove mem stick, turn off PSP (completely, not soft boot) re-insert mem stick, turn PSP back on.
3- re-connect USB. at this stage, the memstick is completely bare, not a single file/folder.
4- Create folder PSP in the PSP root. under PSP, create folder GAME. copy folders 'battery' and 'installer' from pandora files to E:\PSP\GAME. copy the 1.5 eboot, named as UPDATE.PBP to the psp root E:\
5- disconnect from USB. proceed to Game - memory stick to run the first application. all data under Game appears as 'Corrupted Data'. cant go any further.

Sorry to keep hastling but im getting pretty frustrated. i've tried a different battery too, an official Sony one, the one that came brand new with my PSP. same thing, so cant be the battery. and cant be the mem stick, since it gets formatted every time.

again, im running 3.90 m33-3 CFW with the 1.5 kernel v2 installed.

Re: [guide] How to make a Pandora battery

ok it worked lol sussed it out.

basically guys, once you install the kernel 1.5 addon, you must run your PSP in 1.5 kernel mode.

now, when it comes to copying 'battery' and 'installer' folders over, you must copy the two folders within those over, so there should be 4 folders underneath your GAME folder; pandora_battery, pandora_battery%, pbfirm_install and pbfirm_install%.

thats how it worked for me.

thanks heaps Gandalf, big help mate.

EDIT: sadly, it didnt work in the end. at the final stage of running Pandora Battery Creator, i got an error "error code 0x26" or something like that. apparently, that means my battery cannot be used as a Pandora Battery, or something, and theres no way around it.

no matter, the general procedure worked perfect, great guide.

Re: [guide] How to make a Pandora battery

I need help on step three. When I try to run the installer, it says that the game could not be started (8002014C). What should I do? I'm using my friends psp running 3.71 M33-2. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: nvm i created the pandora's battery. But when I try to boot it, no menu shows up. I already installed the firmware on my magic memory stick. Help
