Re: Pandora's Jigkick + Magic Memory Card Easy Installer Tutorial

I have a pandora battery but I lost my memory stick. I have a new stick. Is the memory stick file created specific to the battery or can I just get the files off of someone elses magic memory stick. I dont have a 1.5 psp, so I cant make a new one.

yes you can make a new mem card. the mem card is not created specific to the battery.

i have done it a couple of times to different mem cards using the one battery. but i didn't use the psp to make the mem card. i used an easy pandora's battery GUI. and it was all done in a matter of min's using this GUI. click "[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]" to download the easy installer GUI.

make sure that you have a game umd in the drive or you could use the "use no-umd" option in the vsh menu or in the "recovery menu". just select either the "m33 driver" or the "Sony driver".

Ok, can anyone please confirm the following before I start.

1) as per the guide, all is done on my phat PAP until the steps below which is on the slim psp.

Insert Memory Stick into the PSP
- Remove power cord and insert the JigKick Battery into the PSP.
- A menu appears when the PSP boots. Follow the onscreen information
and instructions.
- Choose the option to downgrade to 1.5!
- That's it! have done!

thank you

NO, the pandora battery is a must, no way around it.

The magic memory stick can be created using the ofw psp as a card reader connected to the usb, but the pandora battery can only be created thru a cfw psp(softmod), hardmod(opening the battery up and cutting a leg off of an IC), purchase one online from somewhere, or get a PSP Battery Service Tool(a device that makes the PSP battery into a pandora battery much like a cfw PSP would). Those are the only options for the battery.

you can find the "pandora's battery" (that's what i used in the search field) and i found them at ebay, amazon and a few other places. or you could type in "psp battery service tool" to see what it comes up with. or google it.

not much of a difference if you ask me, 1 you pay for and the other you make it yourself.
