Re: [Guide] How to manually install custom firmware v3.90m33-2

Hey old git thnks for the guide. but im having problems.

I'm on 3.52M33-4, but when I try this, I can succesfully see the icon under the mem stick icon on my psp, but when I click it the psp turns black and doesn't go to any screen. Any Idea how I can make it work. I'm sure im doing it right, could you maybe go into extra explicit detail?

this seams to happen a lot. try changing the kernal setting in the recovery menu to "kernal 350".

This will work for you also.

Edit: It requires that you have 3.52m33-3 or higher(3.71m33 or 3.80m33) in order to update to 3.90m33. It says that at the first of the guide and then the last note sorta skips that.

No problem, I understand as I have the problem of skipping stuff sometimes just because it's second nature to me and I forget that not everyone knows where I'm going with something. That's why I don't write guides!!

Re: [Guide] How to manually install custom firmware v3.90m33-2

I have a question. What is the difference between 3.71 M33-4 (which I am currently using) and 3.90 M33-2? Is it an actual update for me or a downgrade?

Re: [Guide] How to manually install custom firmware v3.90m33-2

there is no real big difference in the two firmwares. but if you've got a slim psp, on v3.90m33, you can use skype on your psp. other than that. there is no big difference.

Great how-to guides all of them worked well, from the 3.25m33 up to the 3.90m33. Thanks.
