Do you think so because you run the installer or because it shows up in the recovery menu?

The option to run the 1.50 kernel in recovery menu shows up whether the addon is installed or not.

Re: [Guide] How to manually install custom firmware v4.01m33-2

Well.. I placed the 150k_installer in the \PSP\GAME then I placed the 150.pbp in the root of the MS. After that, I run the 1.50 Kernel Addon for 4.01 and everything was fine but I have not tried it yet for I still don't have any homebrew applications for v4.01m33-2.
(sorry for the bad english )

You got it installed. It don't have to be homebrew for 4.01m33-2 you can run any and all homebrew.

Good to hear!! Glad we could be of help.

The website is great, on the bigger forums you would have been flamed for asking the question and we would have been flamed for answering. That's why I love it here. Able to spread the knowledge without reprisal.

We're not Gods, we've just been doing it longer. When I first started I said the same things.

there is that option. but from my experience, i would rather do a manual install. that way, you know that your installing the custom firmware and not the official update. i was just lucky that i have a pandora's battery to re-install an older custom firmware.
