Icon4 Re: Updated guide on how to get PSX on 3.90mm-3

Hi there... i have now been trying for 3 days spending atleast 12 hours trying to get my PSX rips to work on M33 3.90... They worked when i had an older version... cant remember which one and they work on my brothers which is 3.40 or sumthing like that.

I did everythign this tutorial says to all files ar ein correct places and the eboot was made perfectly with pmf and at3 sounds aswell... Before using this tutorial i used about 5 others. This tutorial has got me the furthest so far btu i am sort of back to a stage i was 2 days ago.

At 1st without having popsloader i was getting the Game cannot be started 80010002 error.
I then got poploader_v2 from a megaupload page. Then whenever i tried to load my game it got to the boot screen, turned blank then powerd fully off.
Now that i have used this tutorial popsloader is no longer crashing my PSP but it is now again bringing up the "The game cannot be starter 80010002 error message and it doesnt bring up the popsloader version menu that u described. what am i doing wrong???

I put the seplugins folder form the popsloader folder u put in the .rar file then copied the files form the popsloader dir into the one on my psp. I then created my eboot with the PSX2PSP u put in the .rar file and put it into my game150 folder.

I actually have more than one game folder :
x:\psp\Game
x:\psp\Game150
x:\psp\Game380

Everything else i have used works fine no matter which folder i put them in and i prefer it this way as i can keep games in one applications in another and random crap in the last...

Does this create a problem tho? The game icon shows up fine there is no corrupt data the animated icon works and so does the AT3 sound file when the icon is highlighted...

I then rebooted my psp, booted into recovery mode and set the popsloader.pxr in the seplugins menu to (Enabled)

the only problem i have is the error coming up when i try to start the game

i have tried using the quick menu (Select button) and tried to boot the game in all the modes it has :
UMD ISO MODE : Normal
UMD ISO MODE : M33 driver
UMD ISO MODE : Sony NP9660
UMD ISO MODE : OE isofs

I noticed that after swapping the popsloader versions when i went into recovery mode it was still enabled from the last version so i disabled it then re-enabled... might it still be trying to use the old version? or does it not make a differance?

If you have any idea what is wrong please let me know, would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The error code your getting states the following;

80010002 - Putting the POPS EBOOT in the wrong folder

Try placing the games in the \psp\game folder

Re: Updated guide on how to get PSX on 3.90mm-3

Hi gyrene!
I just got my psp modded, it has CFW 3.90mm, so I figured your guide was the best one to refer to ^^

Well I followed your instructions down to the letter and I got my copy of FFVII to appear under the GAME menu...now the thing is, when I start the game I initally chose popsloader 3.71 (since everyone in various forums had said that was the best one to use) but it only makes it up to the PS1 logo before it freezes Then I tried loading it up using pops 3.72, but with that all I got was a black screen and my PSP shuts off after a few seconds...none of the other pops in the list work either. The game started using the original flash selection, but then at the 1st fight it glitched out and went all multicoloured....

I've tried installing pops several times over and over but nothing seems to work. Do you know what I can do?

Thanks

The download on rapidshare isn't working. By the way, this should be a sticky.

Re: Updated guide on how to get PSX on 3.90mm-3

oh yeah sorry. My internet probably messed up. I'm having problems with this, everything worked fine up until I get to the popsloader menu. I selected 3.72 pops, and my psp froze. I had to turn it off, and I still have no luck running metal gear or any other psx game
