IRshell: advantages/disadvantages?

I've never used IRshell before, but I've heard it's useful (the ability to sort homebrew sounds nice). However I've never installed it due to it's daunting and (IMO) ugly interface. What are the advantages/disadvantages? of using IRshell over stock M33 firmware?

I have IR shell on my psp slim 4.01 m33. All I use it for is to move and delete files. There is already a file program for the psp (can't remember the name), and there already is a program for sorting homebrew. Here is the link for the homebrew sorting program:

IRShell has many uses. Its a multi-tasking psp program which has an inbuilt file management program, mp3 which can play during homebrew and umd games, eboot launcher, usb function, picture viewer , can control ir devices (with right pronto hex codes) and BTW IRShell has a nice interface especially as you can download additional themes which can make it look even better.

The only real disadvantage to irShell is that the production of the homebrew has completely stopped and that a lot of the really handy features on the homebrew don't work due to the incompatibility with newer firmwares. I don't think the source code for irShell was released so now it's officially dead unless Ahman decides to recode it which he won't. He has stated his reasons. But it's still good overall for the file management. But I'd choose PSP Filer over it for file management. And trust me irShell does has a good GUI compared to alot of others like PSP Filer.

PSP Filer is just text no GUI Your choice, I personally wouldn't bother.
