Icon9 Help please....

I just downloaded Xandu's Media Player off of qj and whenever i start it, it gives me an error with those stupid numbers...But its like this with EVERY homebrew now. its like nothing will work anymore. I have 3.71 m33-4 with the 1.5 kernel. All my old apps will work like psptube and irshell, but most new ones just give me an error. what do i do? Do i need to update my firmware? and if so, what one is most stable?

All i wanted was a music player app cus the xmb one kinda sucks....

So if anyone knows what to do thanks for your time and help.

and heres the one im trying to get working...

Most likely the new ones are probably made for the 3.xx kernel, put the app into either the GAME or GAME371 folder(play with it to see which one works) and go into Recovery to set the Game folder kernel to 3.71. 3.xx kernel apps will not work with the PSP set to 1.50 kernel

Re: Help please....

still doesnt work. its so annoying its like no matter what i do it wont work.

Maybe its just the file? its almost a year old. it could be for an older CFW.

Do you know any other music player app thats decent and working on 3.71m33?

I looked at the file and it's for the 1.50 kernel. It should look like this (psp drive letter):\PSP\GAME150\XMPBETA(this is the xmpbeta folder and all it's contents from the zip file). The music goes into PSP\MUSIC folder.

Did you actually install the 1.50 kernel addon for 3.71?? The option to select it shows up in the recovery menu regardless of whether it is installed or not. If you did not install it then that is the reason it won't work.

Re: Help please....

Success! Thank you so much. I thought that I had already installed the 1.5 kernel because it was in the recovery mode thing. now everything works. thats a load off.

Thank you very much for your patience and time.

You're welcome, glad you got it all working. With the option showing up in recovery regardless of it being installed or not is confusing. It even shows up on a slim and it can not even run the 1.50 kernel.
