Help - Newbie

Just got my PSP Slim running on 4.01 M33 and having a bit of trouble running emulators.

I want to run SNES, GBA and Genesis games but can't get emulators working.

Am I right in thinking that my firmware needs to be downgraded?

What do I need to do to get these emulators working and which emu's should I use?

Thanks peeps.

Firmware does not need to be downgraded. I run snes on 4.01m33-2 phat and a slim all the time.

Exactly what emulators are you trying to run, version # and title.

Re: Help - Newbie

I have since installed DGenesis_170 and it is loading but it won't find the game I have added.

What file extension does the rom have to be?

I also would like to run gPSP and any SNES emulator.

I have no experience with that emu so I will have to check it out and get back with you.

For the snes use this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

For a list of other emu's check [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Cheers dude.

I'm not sure if I can ask or not but I'm not sure where to download ROMS, like I have Pokemon Red here and would love to download it for my PSP.

Are they the same ROMS for PC emulators?

Should be the same roms as the PC emulator, roms are roms. As far as to where to get them, a good Google search will turn them up for you. We can not link to those.

Re: Help - Newbie

rom images for all the same as gandalf rightly said, its the way that the emulator is written that will effect performance

alot of the SNES, Genesis, NES etc emulators for the psp run 80% of the games at a very playable speed, the GBA is about 75% at a good speed and when going into PS1 emulation and N64 emulation, thats a whole different story

so yea, hope i helped, even if it was just a little
