Syphon Filter Dark Mirror

My system software is 3,52 M33

I have a copy of Syphon Filter Dark mirror, it is not an ISO but a folder which contains subfolders: PSP, SYPHONFI, X and a umd-sfdm system information file.

When I open this system information file in notepad it tells me to: copy to your ms! and play

Does anyone know where i need to copy this game to on my PSP??? I have tried the GAME folder under the PSP folder. When I Try and run the game on my PSP is says it cannot run as the data is corrupt!!!

Any ideas?

I forgot to mention the version of DevHook I am using is: DevHook FW 2.71

Could it be that I need to update my version of DevHook???

You need to get rid of devhook, that's so old and not necessary, upgrade to 5.00m33-6 and then get the game in iso format and be done with it. All games will play just like it was a game in the umd drive with no other programs to help it run. There are no updates to devhook, development was stopped after custom firmware came out and devhook was un-necessary.

Tutorial section: How to manually install 5.00m33.

When you go to that and read down it will direct you to another thread to update you to 3.52m33-4 then go back to the other and finish the upgrade to 5.00m33-6.

I suppose that you are on 1.50, you need to go to 3.52m33 then up to 3.52m33-4, then to 5.00m33-6. The directions are pretty easy but once you get there(5.00m33-6) you will have a bunch of questions and I can address them at a later time, don't want to overwhelm you with some stuff that is not of importance at this time. Nothing difficult tho.

Right I have updated as far as 3.52m33-4. I have followed the instructions to update to 5.00m33-6 but when i run the update on my PSP is says verifying 500.PBP incorrect file and the update does not complete.

I have checked and my Kernel is not set to 1.50. Any ideas???

My suspicion is that you renamed the file 500.pbp.pbp by accident, this happens when you have extensions hidden in windows and is common mistake. If that is not the problem then try to go to 3.80m33 then use the network update after that. In 3.80m33 they changed the network updater to go to Dark Alex's site to update instead of Sony, you will have a real quick download at first then when it goes to update ther will be a second download that will take a while.

OK great sorted. I downloaded the 500.pbp file and I am now on the 5.00m33-6 firmware. I have also managed to get the syphon filter dark mirror game as an iso and it is working great. Thanks for all your help Gandalf.
