Firmware problem!

I have 5.00 M33-4 installed on my Slim psp. I let the battery run flat and now when I try play .cso's from my memory by placing them in the ISO folder they don't show up. It tells me there are no games yet when I press Triangle on the memory stick and Cross to go in to Information it tells me that the exact amount of space the cso needs is being used.

I've formated the stick and tried again but it's done no good.

Apart from re-installing the firmware (which I've forgotten how to do) what it the option in settings which you sometimes need to choose (there are two) which allows you to see CSO files?

Any help is appreciated!

Re: Firmware problem!

Try upgrading to 5.00m33-6 and see if that helps, either use the manual upgrade method ot the network update. Then after installation press the selsct button and then scroll down on the M33 VSH Menu and set the UMD ISO Mode to either M33 driver or Sony NP9660.

Re: Firmware problem!

I tried reinstalling m33-4 but with no lucky.

How do I go about manually installing M33-6? Is there a magicstick maker like Rains Ultralite for M33-4?

Thanks,
Sheldon

No just download the 5.00m33-6 update and put it into the Game folder and run or use the wireless connection and do a network update(after 3.80 the network update goes to Dark Alex's site for the upgrades).

There is a thread with links in the tutorial section. "How to manually upgrade to 5.00m33-6"

Re: Firmware problem!

Downloaded the update, put it in PSP/GAME then went to run it but it just tells me that there's no games. The update won't show.

My Mem stick has magic gate supported I've also tried having the PSP set to M33 driver in the UMD ISO mode as well as Sony NP9660 and neither of them worked.

The problem started after I let the battery run dry and when I turned on the PSP a couple of months later it asked me to reset the date and time. Is this relevant to the problem?

Re: Firmware problem!

no that would be normal after that length of time. Try putting the update in the GAME5XX folder.

Re: Firmware problem!

after all the power dies out all the settings reset themselves back to factory defaults. You need to try and do the network update.

Re: Firmware problem!

Make sure that you have an internet connection, on the PSP menu go all the way to the left then all the way up and select network update. Follow instructions that pop up on the screen.
