My must have 1.50/5.XX M33 homebrew

The single folder version will not run on 1.50. This only works on PSP's running custom firmware or 1.50 using the version with 2 folders(the one with the %).

It came with the first version that you had. When it came out originally it was for the 1.50 kernel that's why it had 2 folders. It has now been updated to work on the 3.xx & 4.xx kernels. All new homebrew well be coming out for the new kernels. 1.50 developement has for the most part stopped, so much so that Dark Alex & m33 will probably stop making the 1.50 kernel add on for the m33 firmwares since it is no longer needed.

Eventually you will have to upgrade to one of the newer m33 custom firmwares to continue to play the newer games and homebrew.

i upgraded to 3.52m33-4/phat, im having issue with devhook, i have 3, do i suppose to have these
1. devhook 44
2. devhook launcher mod
3. devhook reconfig

Devhook is not needed. Place game ISO/CSO in (psp drive letter):\ISO
Press the SELECT button to get the VSH menu to come up and change the UMD ISO Mode to either Sony NP9660 or m33 driver. The games should show up under games and no UMD in the drive is required.

i can see the game from my game menu but ehen i start the game it pops up with"the game could not be started(80020148)"
any help would be appreciated, thanks

oh yea and im running cfw 4.01 m33-2

If you have everything enabled as I said it should play or at least not give you that error message.

Try to save everything off of the memory stick and format with the PSP format utility then copy everything back.

did it , didnt work.
just to clarify im doing everything right i unzipped file and copied "smash gpsp" and"smashgpsp%" into the game150 folder
(did the same with"%__SCE__PDA" and "__SCE__PDA")
if im doing anything wrong any help would be appreciated

You have got to download, install and enable the 1.50 kernel addon, that is if you are running a phat.

If you are running a slim then you need to locate another smash gpsp that is for the 3.xx kernel. The one you have is for the 1.50 kernel and will only work on a phat with the 1.50 kernel addon.
