Re: Staff Applications

-Why would you like to write for PSP X MAG?
-I have always enjoyed voicing what is fact and what is fiction and my own opinion on such things as video games and computer hardware. I feel that a role in this magazine would allow me a prime opportunity to do just that - voice my opinion and discuss hi interest topics about technology: specifically those of the PSP. Overall, I simply enjoy expressing what I think and my ideas on paper (or a computer).

-What have you done in the past that makes you a qualified writer?
-I feel I am a qualified writer now from past high school experiences dealing with the writing of feature articles that included the incorporating of persuasive techniques and a strong charismatic voice in everything I write. I have received the Distinguished rating on every feature article I have written thus far, rigorously graded by College trained High School portfolio staff. Other than that, I have contributed to a past school newspaper.
:: (proficient in Adobe Photoshop)
:: (all around proficient PC user)
:: (proficient in many programming languages)
:: (very dedicated to any project I am a part of)

-How old are you? Are you in high school, college, or have you graduated?
-Currently I am 16, 3 months behind 17. I am currently in High School as a Junior and am enrolled in mostly advanced placement college courses.

-How many hours per week can you dedicate to PSP X MAG?
-As many as it takes to finish what is asked of me to be finished, at its most proficient quality.

-What's your favorite PSP game genre and why?
-As of now, my favorite genre dwells in the 3rd person shooter realm, along with SOCOM, MGS, and GTA.

-What's your primary use of the PSP?
-My PSP is only used for gaming at this point and the occasional movie, nothing more.

- Please consider my application as I am very eager to help on this project in any way possible.

Good luck!
Is this thing still open for people? I am kinda intrigued since reading the mag and I want to see if I can try and be part of it.

Why I want to write for PSP MAG?
I feel it isn't covering a broad enough area of the console. My reasons are numerous and can be found in the following link. Look for the long post. It should be enough to justify my reasons. If not, I would just like to contribute different material that isn't just game reviews. It would still in relation to the PSP of course but expand on different areas of thought that has been brought up so slightly in the last couple of issues.

What have you done in the past that makes you a qualified writer?
No much really in terms of writing for this type of thing. I've been a dedicated forum member with alot more to type than: "I agree", "I love the PSP more than the DS" and anything that is limited to a few words or single sentence. You can see some of my style in writing through the previous link above or in the review section which covers the game: Tatsujin Portable 2 and Portable Island. The style may not be totally formal but I was hoping to gain a different style of reading where everything doesn't sound generic or plain like many of the others.

How old are you? Are you in high school, college, or have you graduated?
I am 22. I am in University. Seriously. I don't this type of question is totally approapiate. Some people might not want to give a response to this.

How many hours per week can you dedicate to PSP X MAG?
One can't say for sure but I am positive I can do my part into completion by the deadline. Think positive and things will come through nicely.

What your favorite PSP game genre and why?
Puzzles and games that are unique and strange that most people would find crap. I've become somewhat of an anti-gamer where I don't fully love the hype and greatest of popular games. I like smaller games that need recognition. Look for my review on Portable Island.

Primary use for PSP is gaming.

I use the Photo section more now because it allows for variety and something different to the videos and music. I don't use the internet features. It because of this MAG really.

The immediate requirement I have but the expertise in Photoshop is very limited. I really just wanted to contrbute material to read really.

Am I In?!?

Re: Staff Applications

Hey mo, you may not remember me, but I used to be apart of the staff while PSP Xmag was running on your site. themotec.com ^.^ Good times there. Well, if you don't all is forgiven.

Anyways, I would like to join the staff. I have PS2 and am pretty good. Here is some of my work to prove it:

I know they say Virus, but that is me. Crawler has seen me as virus. I am admin at pspcube.com

If you don't believe me I can edit text for proof or make something with unknown name.
