Whoever wrote the Sega Rally Revo preview and Riviera review, do look through your articles with critical eyes when you're done writing to see if there's anything that can be changed for the better. It's especially easy to start repeating yourself without taking notice of what you've been typing - until you actually read through your work. Just listen to this sentence taken straight off the Sega Rally preview:

"The game boasts a good soundtrack to keep you humming to the game as you drive around the many tracks that the game has to offer."

I think you get my point here (hint: game) ^^

Same goes for the Riviera review:

"The graphics are very nice, colorful, and very nice on the eyes..."

Yes - very nice graphics indeed You even end the paragraph (from which that sentance is taken) using these words as well - saying that "it looks very nice".

Also, try not to abuse commas! Read through every paragraph while making sure that it doesn't sound too long because of all the pauses created by placing out too many commas. Remember to come to a point every once in a while and place a dot there

And while this probably will sound too time consuming or just plain boring to actually happen (unless it already does and if so - then shame on you), the executive editor of this magazine really should take the time to look through the mag's full content before distributed/uploaded. Then the little details such as what I've already talked about here could be taken care of and straighten out - as would the incorrect overall rating of the game Riviera (should be 8.6 and not 9.6), thus making the reader feel more satisfied with the magazine overall.
And speaking of overall, I advice you (the editor, that is) to have a little chat with your "staff" regarding how to calculate the Overall score given to a game (look at Crisis Core - how does 10, 10, 8, 9 add up to "only" 8.5? 37/4=9.25). Make sure everyone feels the same about what a 7 stands for and just how to rate a game.

Keep up the otherwise good work! Whining/critique mode off ^^
For the reviews we don't run off average scores, we just do average based on what we feel it was worth As far as editing goes this was a 2 man job and to be honest I was just trying my best to compile it and release it as I was short on time. Next issue I will most definitely look through them again and make sure it's less repetitive in errors.

At the end I would like to ask would you like to join the PSPXMAG staff and possibly get in 1-2 articles or more for the MAG for this month's release?

Whoa, a two man job you say?! Then I forgive you ^^

And your offer flatters me but I'm not sure if I am that confident in my English... taking part in a discussion on a forum is one thing, expressing your feelings for a game through a review or preview is another
I'll have that offer in mind though.

Re: PSPXMAG Issue 10 released

Believe me it' not as hard as people think it is. You just have to sit down and start then the rest flows in. We do edit the article afterwards so most of the time we can fix minor issues, so yea go ahead and right something or some psp editorial and i can check it out for you

Re: PSPXMAG Issue 10 released

I felt the issue was lacking a lot of small minor stuff that had been lost and hasn't made a reappearance. And to be honest, it pretty much doesn't cover anything of interest to me. I covered my main issues and concern before in a previous thread (ages ago and it is still valid now!) and I put in quite some detail.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

To be frank, I personally felt it was lacking because:
It missed out on an opening editorial.
No feature article on any topic away from the repetitive stuff (review, homebrew interview, news)
The pages numbers still haven't returned.

Really, I just want something to read. I mean, majority of people already know about the news, reviews and previews. I just want something to read. Like toilet material or something to read whilst traveling. It is why i wanted something like a feature article on issues, ideas or hard thoughtful insights on various topics surrounding the system. Stuff to make you think or junk material that takes up alot of reading time like "blogs" but on the go as well.

Im gonna just recycle my opinion from ages ago. I still believe the same thing now and want to reinforce it again.

My PSP X MAG Reader Rant:
The mag looks awesome but doesn't give enough to reader. After all, people get this to read, not only look at pictures and game reviews only. I am looking forward to the next issue but maybe not the one after that. The mag has a lot of potential and quality behind it and it still improves on every issue. It would be a shame for this to go down as another generic picture book with nothing new and interesting that only has game reviews you can already find on the common news page and sites.
