Need some help on Monthly Backgrounds

Hi, I searched here and google for a way to change the XMB's monthly backgrounds but only found 1 post that didn't do all I wanted and had dead links.

I'm looking for plain black monthly backgrounds (all 12 months backgrounds black) and to make the popup menu's about 50% darker but with the same colors (like dark blue, replace pink with dark purple, dark red, ect... but still a little transparent)

any tips on how to do this? or is there one around somewhere?

I'm using PSP 5.50 GEN-B (Full) on a Phat 10000x
