when your on the psp's xmb (main menu screen), press left then scroll down to "Theme Settings". now press X. you will then see three options "Theme", "Color" and "Background". select "Theme". and in there, you will see what ptf or ctf themes you have either installed or what ones you have on your mem card. scroll up to the "Original" setting and press X. this will then re-install the original theme.

if you can't access anything, then the only option that i can think of, is to use a pandora's battery to restore your psp back to the way it was.

Re: How to Install Custom XMB Themes

i didn't think of that. you could try and install v3.95 GEN-2. it's very similar to v3.90m33-3 with some nice features. have a look in the "NEWS" section for it and the download link is in there. or you could go to the "custom firmware" section in the "download" section of the forum to download it.

Yes there is a difference. If you were to use the v4.01m33-3 flash0 back-up on a psp that has v3.90m33-3 on it, then you would brick your psp. think of it as trying to put vista operating files, on a xp pc without the correct install program. It will not work.
