Need help with USB cable

I plug the usb cable in and it comes up with please wait and then never goes anywhere. I used it before to load gba emulator and roms and it worked fine. Now I want to load more and can't get the usb to work so I can find it in my computer. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Need help with USB cable

Try plugging into another USB port on the comp, reboot the comp, and or start the PSP up in Recovery mode(completely off then hold down the right trigger while turning on - enable the usb there and if that don't work try going to advanced and select reset settings and format flash1.

Re: Need help with USB cable

I will try that but can I some how take the memory stick and connect it to the computer itself and copy and paste the games I want on it that way and then put the memory stick into the psp?

Yes if you have a card reader that will take the memory stick then by all means use it, the PSP only acts as a card reader when it is enabled unless you are trying to get into the UMD or the flash areas.
