Programs Needed to Run Backup's

cIOSRev7

  • All the files are already install if you did the "Step By Step Zelda Exploit Installation"
  • All you need to do is Start The Homebrew Channel.
  • Look for the /apps/cIOSRev7/boot.dol

  • Now Click on it and load.

  • Now install Press A.

  • Once loaded you will see a screen with WAD installation.

  • Click the Right D Pad so it says Network Installation.

  • You must connect your Nintendo Wii to the internet via Wii Settings. If you don't have a WiFi Connection, the only option is WAD Installation. I tried using that mode and it fail for me but if you have no other option try it.
  • cIOSRev7 should now be install.

Installing DVDx

  • Start The Homebrew Channel.
  • Click on /apps/DVDx/boot.dol

  • Click on Load.

  • Now click on Normal Install and follow the steps.

  • Once you have done this, DVDx should be install and the Nintendo Wii reset.

Installing wad Files

Start The Homebrew Channel.

  • Click on /apps/WADManager1.3/boot.dol

  • Click Load

  • Now a screen should come up, press A

  • A screen saying to load a wad from SD memory should come up and just press A.

  • Press the + button located in your Wiimote in the IOS36-64-v1042.wad to install it.

  • It will ask if you are sure if you want to install IOS36-64-v1042.wad click A

  • Give it some time for it to load and finish installing. Once it's done it's time to install the Backup loader Channel.
  • Click the + on the Wiimote selecting Launcher 0.3 Gamma NTSC.wad to install it. It will ask you if you are sure click A.

  • Again give it some time for it to load and install. It may look like it is frozen but no matter what don't turn your Nintendo Wii off.
  • The Backup Channel should now be install and ready to play Wii Backups.
  • You can access the Backup Loader by either loading it using the Backup Channel install or using The Homebrew Channel and loading /apps/Backup Launcher/boot.dol
  • Every time you insert a back up DVD Wii game make sure to load the game using the Backup Channel or the Backup Launcher located inside The Homebrew Channel or else the Backup DVD won't load.

How to Burn ISO Wii Games on a Blank DVD

Requirements:

  • [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
  • PC
  • DVD-R Writer (Burner)
  • DVD-R Blank Disc

Step By Step On How To Burn ISO Games.

  • Download ImgBurn and install on your PC.
  • Insert a Blank DVD-R.
  • Run ImgBurn and click Write image to disc.

  • Now click on Browse.

  • Now look for the Wii ISO file you want to burn. Note that all Wii ISO Games are 4.37 GB, if it's smaller it might not load.

  • Now Click on it and it should appear on ImgBurn. Also set the writing speed to 4X for games to work properly on the Wii.

  • Now click burn/write and just wait for the ISO file to be burn on the DVD-R.

  • After it's done enjoy playing your backup Wii Games.

Burner is writing Slow?

Quote:
1. Go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager>IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
2. From there, right click on each of the channels and choose ‘Properties>Advanced Settings’. All drives should be DMA mode. The ‘Current Transfer Mode’ for Hard drives is usually DMA 4-6 and DVD burners DMA 2-4, DVD ROMs usually DMA. If you see any in PIO mode, that can slow things down.
3. If you find a PIO mode drive, changing them back may be easy or complicated. First see if you can change them in that window using the drop down menu.
4. If not, uninstall the channel the drive is on and let the OS reinstall it. This will usually take a reboot. This will not damage any files on the computer. Now your burner should be back to normal. Check the drive settings again when computer restarts.

Re: How to Run Backup's on the Nintendo Wii

Hi there,

I have followed your instructions & now have a Homebrew Channel on mw Wii, so thanks for that.

Before I do anymore I was wondering as I am running Vs 3.4E, should I downgrade to 3.2E before I carry on?

What I mean is, do I need to downgrade my Wii?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Yes, I suggest you downgraded if you know how to.
I didn't need to downgrade since im at 3.3 u
But 3.4 blocks a lot of this from working properly.
3.2 or 3.3 should be fine when you downgrade.

Re: How to Run Backup's on the Nintendo Wii

I tried to install DVDx through wad manager on my WII with 4.00 firmware and it kept giving me errors, I installed homebrew channel with bannerbomb exploit and I found out that the BOOTMII installer.elf contains the files to install DVDx so I installed through there should work -_- right?

It should, be sure to add the Homebrew Browser and get one of the DVD players installed. If you can play a DVD then DVDX is installed correctly.
