OK, almost everybody is piss-off at Nintendo right now...even Matt @ ign.com and he's one of the biggest supporter for Nintendo.

I want everyone in PSPcrazy to vote on this cause I want to show Matt @ ign.com that he's not the only one who thinks the name is.............???

im not too pissed. after all, its just a name. its the systems performance im interested in. but yeah, the revolution sounded way better...

sounds like nintendo took 2 minutes of their time to make up that name. It isn't very creative (which the Wii is supposed to be). Though I am still interested in the system regardless.

I totally agree with what the system can do, but its really hard for us "older" fans to except such silly name. I mean how did Nintendo came up with such a name? It doesn't scream "Revolution" to me at all...this is just confusing if Nintendo plans to market to non-gamers. It sounds like Nintendo didn't put any effort in coming up with this name @ all, didn't Nintendo learn from "GameCube"? My question is "Why change a house hold name when there's nothing wrong with it?" Look at the past "successful" system that Nintendo had, NES-SuperNES-Nintendo64. See how these system has "Nintendo" in all of them? People buy the system because they reconize the brand....the "GameCube"(even though it was more powerful then the PS2) wasn't looked at as a contender because the name sounded weak. Playstation just add a 2 and a 3, Xbox just added 360. The name is very important to the sales and success of a consoles life (as seen with Playstation brand), I wish all the best for the "wii" and hope people will come to term with it but that might take awhile and by that time it may be too late. I understand that it still comes down to the games and gameplay but just how many people will be interested and reconize it? We'll have to wait and see.....

It might not even be the real name...nintendo hasn't trademarked it, and this may just be a viral campaign...still, if they are really going to name it Wii...
