| Re: How many people here have a Wii?
I was searching for the Wii for a year and a half and then finally got it on Black Friday in 07, I got up around 4:30AM or so and got to Walmart around 5 or so. We waited in line until 7 or so. I wore sandals that day and realized that with weather in the 20's it may have not been the best choice in the world but hey, it's me. Anyway everyone in line was also there for a Wii, so I was getting a bit ansey here and there but when those doors opened at 7 I went running to the game area however I forgot it was not the Walmart I usually go to so I didn't remember the layout for it luckily enough I ran in the right direction zig zagging in and out at top speed. so there I am all 318 Pounds of me (FAT!!!!....well I've lost a bit since then but might as well be historically accurate here right?) there I am out of breath and in front of the guy opening in the game case, I asked if they had a Wii. He told me they never stocked themfor that day even though the sign on the DOOR says they have 60 of them avaliable...well as it turn out they really didn't stock them I checked so that it wasn't just BS on their part.
On the way home we drove by an EB...er Gamestop near my home it's really small so I never would have gone there to get it seeing as the chances of them having Wii's was little to none. However Mom finally convinced me to try it anyway. So I asked the 2 people standing out there and they said the store will have 12 of them, so I opened the door and ran out to the store door to wait in line. Lol, the guy in front asked me if she was coming back for me or not...that slipped my mind totally. Although I had the money on me so it didn't matter. I knew she'd come back, so it was funny the guy in front of was an old time gamer but he knew his way around newer tech. He likes to mod his systems, he had a multisystem mod in the works PS2/XBOX/XBOX360/Dreamcast all in one shell all he needed was the Wii to finish it. The Woman in front wanted to get it for her grandaughter. Around 8:30 or so the guy opened the shop to hand us tickets to reserve the systems. So with that and a lot of inner thought we all went to McDonalds to get something to eat whilst we wait for the store to open at 9PM. I called my Mom and she came to have breakfast too, see and you thought she'd leave me behind didn't ya? Well anyway so it was about a couple of miuntes or so before 9, we headed out to the store and finished waiting. The other people were there waiting as well. During the time more people started to show up I was getting kinda worried about the ticket thing seeing as we weren't the first people in line now. But needless to say the store opened and he called us in by ticket number so when I got in there we got the Wii and Bleach Shattered Blade along with Legend Of Zelda Ocaraina of time/Master Quest for the GC. Man on the drive home I was tired, it felt like 2PM but it was only 10AM, but we came home, I napped on the couch and then around the real 2PM got up and hooked up the Wii I think I stayed up all night playing it my arms were so sore from the game all night will do that to you I suppose. Anyway it's been a fun system for me and I have gotten a few games for it already. I don't play it as much as I would like due to the time issues I have but I do love it and wouldn't give it up for anything. So what's my opinion here? Indeed! |
