Re: Legend of Zelda-Twilight Princess

Ill say I also dont completley agree - Im a little over 20 hours in, so im not just saying something after a few minutes...

Grfx - Not 9.7 Maybe a 9, but not that high. Its just a GC port with new controls. The Wii idea was actually a flawed attempt for a motion sensing controller for the GC, so obviously, its just a port with some new controls. The Grfx are not bad, dont get me wrong, but there is so many places they could have done better with just maybe 2 more months work. I have a slight rushed feeling twords the grfx. Again, not bad at all, but it could have been so much more with so little more time...

Sound - Obviouslyt the remote sound will suck, its a cheap speaker and all sounds have to be tranmitted, no developer is really going to stream music of any good quality to a remote that runs on AA's (li-ion should have been the choice, but thats another thread...) Also, no voice acting was a terrible move. Even if it is just during scripted story events, like MGSO , voice overs being left out is a bad move.

Controls - They were tacked on, thats a FACT. Now, this dosnt mean the controls are flawed or broken, because they do do a great job overall. The aiming using the pointer, full navigation on the pointer, and things like that work GREAT, better than any controller could ever hit. The sword leaves a bit to be desired. While it does get you involved, the controlls are not monitored to actually resemble a sword, insted of moving your thumb on a button you move your wrist a few inches. Same control, new region. Gimmic? Sort of. Flaw? No. It could have been more, but atleast they left it in a state that works, which some developers DONT do, so praise is due where needed.

Also, from what ive played, and what others say is to come, there isnt much of a replay value outside of the story. Yea, you can do a few minigames, but not all of them work like you would expect, and there isnt a lot of reward for much outside of the storyline. Just look at your inventory, what in there doesnt come from the stroy? 1 outfit, and maybe something else, and thats it, so why go explore? Its easier and more beneficial to just stick with the story. Other zelda games have achieved the premis of it actually being worth something to go out of your way looking around, so why not this one?

Again, a good game, maybe even great game, but I feel that it could have been so much more, it just seemed rushed and only 99% done. Just personal nit picks, but isnt a forum about educated conversations on opinion?

Re: Legend of Zelda-Twilight Princess

What I hate about the game is that it's all in text. I mean like for the GC it would have been exeptable, but not for next-gen consoles

Well actually its been a tradition for the Zelda games in the past. I guess thats what Nintendo is trying to do. I really don't mind it either.

Re: Legend of Zelda-Twilight Princess

If they put voice acting in, it would totally ruin the game in my opinion.
