Sorry i have been inactive as of late, things built up and i have been kinda tied up, but now im back and ready to rock and review the biggest wii game of the year "Super Mario Galaxy!"



Mario finally makes his wii debut, in the most anticipated mario game of all time. The hype surrounding this game is huge, but i think it has to be said that the most important thing to say here is most of all, "Does it live up to the hype?!" and the answer you are about to find out

Story
The game opens with a Mario being invited by Princess Peach to a festival in the mushroom kingdom, to celebrate the passing of a comet overhead. As Mario makes his way to the castle, a load of bowsers ships fly overhead and start crystalizing the celebrating toads and tears the castle out of the ground where Peach is situated, as this happens, Mario springs into action and grabs hold of the castle as it accends and it eventually flung into space by a magikoopa, Mario awakens on a small planet and thus his adventure to save the Princess begins again

GamePlay
Gameplay, thankfully as will most mario games is awesome, controlling the plumber is as simple as can be (more on that in a minute), and the game is constantly throwing puzzles and huge enemies at you, keeping you hooked to the story and really involved in the game, this is the equivelent of a platformers fan's dream, great freedom, loads (and i mean LOADS) of secrets to find on the planets you will be visiting during your long journey, and all in all, just lots to do, as well as working on the main game, this game will keep you hooked, and not to forget Mario's new powerups, to advance through the game, Mario will have to become a Bee, a Boo, and powerups to make Mario do all sorts of things (not spoiling it )

Graphics
This is what got me here, when i first booted this up, i thought i was looking at an ingame movie as the game sprang into life, but then when it threw me into the game, i realized that this is what i was going to be playing the game with, and i was astonished! This game is pushing the wii to the limits and you will love it. The environments are beautifully rendered and everything is silky smooth as Mario goes from planet to planet. The sky that you are constantly looking at is a treat to look and, chances ae you will be oogling the graphics more and more as you play, this is the kind of detail the wii was made for, so why didnt they show this beforehand?

Sound
The soundtrack is just as you would ask for a Mario game, it wil have you turning up the volume and helps you indulge more into the game, the sound effects are out at great use and will have your tv's volume contantly turned up, and tapping your feet, and then gripped when one of the many bosses appears to try and take you out. Not much else to say other than, Nintendo have done a great job here, Mario sounds great as always so does his new friends to be found along the way.

Controls
Now, having the wii's unique controls behind this game, alot of people will be wondering just how simple/hard it is to pick up and play this game. Wel never fear, because this game is simple a 3yr old could play it and enjoy it, you use the nunchucks analogue stick to move Mario, and the wiimote itself to move and control things in the environment, to help Mario out, and this works very well, as i was afraid it would depend too much on simple things, i was wrong though. Very easy to pick up and play for all ages

Multiplayer
Now you are expecting me to put "N/A" here arn't you? Well wrong for you, the game does involve a multiplayer aspect, but no it isnt your mate playing as Luigi, if you have 2 wiimotes (which you should have), then you can get ANYONE! (and yes, i mean ANYONE) to pick it up and help you, it acts as a second hand as well as what you are using your wiimore for, and it is great idea, if you seem to be overwhelmed by enemies or somthing, just get anyone to help, its simple and best of all..FUN!

Replay Value
Replayability here depends on if you want to go back and find everything that you missed first time around, and if you are like me, you will want to go and find everything, and play again, and thats one of the best things about this game, you WILL want to go and do it all again, because it is just so much fun.

Overall
Nintendo, you have done it yet AGAIN!, you have created a masterpiece, this game is lined up to be the greatest game of all time, and it deserves to win, it is addictive and awesome to play, if you dont have a wii, go and spend £500 on one and buy this game, if you do, what the hell are you doing reading this review, go and buy this game before i come and kill you

Nice review and to be honest I love Mario. Don't know if I will be getting this anytime soon though, still waiting for my Manhunt 2 to get here

OMG you are making me want to play this so badly. I have the game right now, but my mom won't let me play it because it is for Christmas, lmao. I have to find a way to let her, let me open just one present before Christmas. I am going to try and persuade her right now.

good review. I don't like the control for this game. It really confuses me when you have to run around the little tiny small world and catch the rabbits.

here's the opinion on the game from someone who just beat it ten minutes ago. it is definitely the best game ever made for wii so far. The graphics are superb for the wii. The game play is fun and is just at the right difficulty setting. Anyone who has a wii should have this game. I would give it a 9.8 out 10

I'm glad you liked it but for me, I'm glad I only rented it because I grew tired and frustrated with game. I didn't like the way you always had to go around the objects either.
