I just killed exclusivity

At E3 today, reps from Microsoft and Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII will launch on the Xbox 360.

Additionally, the much-anticipated RPG will launch on the Xbox 360 alongside the PlayStation 3 version, which until today was an exclusive to that system.

There was no word on when, exactly, that release is going to be, but sometime in 2009 is a distinct possibility.

This is quite a coup for Microsoft, and one less exclusive title for Sony.

a side note, ff versus 13 is still exclusive (i actually asked the question on the live open-mic stream). as of now, there will be no differences between the two versions. the number of discs needed is also unknown.

That really sux. FF13 was one of the Ps3's lifelines. Now Ps3 is screwed...until God of War 3.

ff versus 13 should be a fun thing to keep around on the PS3 but FF13 is going to suck then if it is coming out on 360 as well unless it uses 3+ Disks for the 360.... Anyway FF died @ 9 and i think it is going to stay like that with me.

hell im still gonna buy FFXIII (v. PS3) and a PS3 seeing as there aren't any games that i like on the 360 (besides 13), and VS when it's out
