GTA IV Review - Damo [56k warning]

Damo Presents his...
GTA IV Review for the 360

I will cover the online multiplayer aspects of the game after it officially comes out because i don't want to get banned from Xbox Live.

Plot: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is Eastern European, between 28 and 32 years of age and has come to Liberty City to pursue the "American Dream". Niko was persuaded to move to Liberty City by his cousin Roman, who claimed in multiple e-mails to Niko that he was living a fabulous life, with a mansion, women, hot tubs and sports cars. Roman's claims turn out to be lies to hide his own failures, however, and in reality he only owns a small taxi business, which he wants Niko to work for.

Story:
The game has a pretty good story that incorporates many different characters and keeps you wanting more. The story of the game flows through missions, side missions and Dates.

Story: 8.5/10
– The story is pretty good but it could be better.

Gameplay:
The gameplay in GTAIV shares a lot of similarities with previous GTA games but also has a lot of differences. The driving aspect of GTAIV is quite different because it gives more realistic handling and each car handles differently. You also get full weapon aim while driving which wasn’t available without cheats in previous versions, and you get a brand new fighting system in which each opponent has a healthy bar. There are a lot of other changes but these are the ones that stood out the most to me. But the game is still based around running around, shooting and driving. There is also a Mobile Phone which you use to call up your girlfriend, or other people.

Gameplay: 9/10
– There isn’t much to fault on the gameplay of this game.

Graphics:
Graphics are an aspect which has never seemed to be a big part of the GTA series, most of the other GTA’s had pretty bad graphics. Which is why it is great, that Rockstar have created a new game engine and majorly improved the graphics. Yes this game won’t be in the running for best graphics of the year, yes it has a lot of jaggies, but GTA games aren’t about graphics which is why i think it is great that they really improved them. One fault i have with the game is also a plus. The game has a very dark atmosphere, which is a very good thing in my book. But sometimes it gets so dark that you can’t see properly. There are brightness settings in options, but they don’t help much.

Graphics: 8.5/10
– The graphics are a major improvement over previous GTA games, but it gets a bit too dark.

Controls:
The Controls in GTAIV really have no faults. They are easy to pick up and aren’t complicated. I don’t really know what else to say about them.

Controls: 9/10
– Not much to fault here!

Sound: The game has good sound effects and pretty decent music. The 5.1 really adds to the game! Enough Said!!!

Sound: - 9/10 - Good music and 5.1 really adds to the game.

Conclusion:
If you are a fan of GTA style games, you will love this. It takes a while to get used to the new city and new graphics, but once your settled in you won’t be able to put down the controller! I recommend you either acquire a leaked copy now or buy it on launch.

Bottom Line:
Buy or Acquire it... NOW!!!

My Rating:
8.8/10

Note/s:
Please don’t ask me where to get it, i won’t help you. I found my sources myself, you should do the same

Damo

P.S: BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is set in a redesigned Liberty City based on New York.

Honestly, I think that you could elaborate on your points more. For example, your sound category is only sentence long. Try to capture the audience reading the review, by letting them hear what you hear in game .
