| E74 err /xbox 360 encoder chip err Its 1 red flashing light its not a av cable err because I can see the message on the screen it is however a problem with the video encoder chip xbox customer support wants 140$ to repair it why pay for something i can do myself DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY THIS CHIP LESS THAN 50$ or sell just the counsle broken for 125$ heres a video of the affect of a damaged chip it wont turn on after the video was taken Last edited by Green Metallic; 11-10-2006 at 11:49 PM.. |

| Re: E74 err /xbox 360 encoder chip err haven't experienced the problem you're having, but i have to ask you this: did you get a warranty for your console? if you did, take it back to the shop and they should replace your console. never ever buy hardware without getting a warranty.

| Re: E74 err /xbox 360 encoder chip err yea i got a refund, then sent the one they gave me back within 5 months and had to pay it agin, then got another refund when they extended it to 3 years, im shure it will brake agin for the third time anfter the warenty is up

| Re: E74 err /xbox 360 encoder chip err Not sure how long ago this post was but anyways, after making an update on my xbox it gave me this same error. It never had given me any problems or anything. I just dont get it. Would an update actually cause this time of a conflict so that it destroys my video encoder chip. Thanks for the help. Oh and I forgot to mention Ive had my xbox for a long while without any problmes. Plz any help would be great. |
