what are the chances of me buying a 360 and not getting a RRoD

there are almost no chances cuz that problems was only wit first generation xbox 360. that happened to me i sent it in for repair and it got fixed

LOL ether you're telling a lie or you're retelling a lie that was told to you by a Microsoft rep the RROD will not be completely fixed because for them to do that they need to redesign the system and recall all the old ones and that would be a death sentence to MS gaming division .there is already talk about the next system check this link out . yeah.. just get a ps3... but if you really want a 360. the new batches have the Falcon Chip synced in them. Look em up. its supposed to solve the RROD's. I dont think they completely remove the threat. they prolly just reduce it. Most new ones got them, you should make sure yours is one too.

huh well after i sent my xbox the rrod hasnt happened to me in over a year
