what are the chances of me buying a 360 and not getting a RRoD - Game Tagg Forums - PSP Games, PSP Downloads, PSP News, and PSP Themes

So i have decided to get a 360 here in the next week or so....what are the odds that i can buy one from the store and not have all these red ring problems??....if im going to put $600 into this console i dont want it fried within the first week....

Don't know, but they have the 3 year warranty for that problem.

the new xboxs are suppossed to have a reduced chance of rrod i think. The new ones have a hdmi in the back

If you ever get RROD you are covered. So you don't have to worry about your 360 turning into a 900 pound paper weight.

you got about a 33% chance of getting a RROD it may be the same day you buy it or a few month or even years but one thing is for sure it will happen and when it does you'll have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get your system or a refurbished one back. if you think you can live with that by all means go for it. Microsoft got you cover for 3 years only so if by a miracle your system last more than that you're on you own but I don't think there has been a single person that lucky yet

considering my xbox has probably been on 2 times longer than yours im pretty sure my xbox has been played much longer than most people on this forum

and this Live eye was not started till long after i got an xbox 360 and the live eye doesn't monitor OFFLINE activities so yeah

people who post comments like "theres a **% chance that your xbox will RRoD" just add to the bull**** that people say about the 360

Ive had my 360 1 year and 4 months and last night it got the RROD...

Requested my box last night got sent out today, should be here tomorrow. Dont let the talk of the dreaded RROD put you off buying one!!
