Top Five UMD Legacy Games on the PSP

Sony started the UMD Legacy program for their PSP Playstation Store in fall of 2007. This program composes of PSP titles that were first released at retail via UMD discs. These games are then converted into downloadable data that can be stored and played on the PSP Memory

Stick Pro Duo. The main advantage for UMD Legacy titles compared to regular UMD PSP games is that the former usually sport faster loading times. So without further adieu, here are the top five UMD Legacy games for the PSP so far.

5. Ultimate Ghosts ’n Goblins

2009 is year of PSP not Xbox 360 or PS3: new lineup to have GTA and Oblivion?

There are many gamers going around the Web indicating that 2009 is the year of the PS3 or Xbox 360. However, another platform that many gamers have undermined may be picking up steam to take over 2009. According to reports PSP may have an awesome lineup in store for 2009 with unrevealed titles as well as existing franchises.

The PSP is one platform that many gamers overlook as a contender in the gaming device arena. The PSP truly is a portable multimedia device considering you can play games, watch movies and listen to music all from a single device. However, gamers have been complaining about the lackluster lineup in 2008. The PSP lineup did start spectacularly with titles such as Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and God of War: Chains of Olympus, but quickly died down near the last quarter.

Sony to use PSP-4000 as Trojan horse for games

psp4

The latest rumours about the next model of Sonys PlayStation Portable are that the PSP-4000 is set to get a sliding front-screen.

"The rumour makes sense – Sony need a headline grabbing feature to re-launch PSP – but with no fundamental changes to the hardware or controls (especially the controls), PSPs shortcomings are the same as ever; lack of killer titles, and decent ports crippled by inability to use right analogue stick," agrees PSM3 magazine editor, Daniel Dawkins.
