In a conference call with Gamestop it seems that people have been buying the PSP nearly 50% more since the price drop first occurred. So much so that Gamestop can’t keep up with the amount of sales, and needs more supply to quench the demand.
Not only that but it also seems that the release of the Slim PSP will dramatcially raise that percentage once it’s released this September. At the end we just are the end users, so stand back and enjoy your PSP with more people come time to play multiplayer.

well anyways im one of those thats gonna buy a slim psp... has many good things... but it would have been nice to see another analog stick... or at least an add on for that... nice touch moving the speakers to the front
