Team AOP announced New Custom Firmware

Team AOP is currently developing a new custom firmware that will gain it’s new features by asking the users what features they want. Team AOP is PSPCrazy’s new official homebrew team, and it seems that they will release the custom firmware within the next week. Check back for more information.

What makes Team AOP unique?
We are trying to be unique by created a custom XMB that would be installed while flashing the 3.52 AoP Firmware. Also we are trying to incorporate the ideas of fellow PSP users’ ideas to create useful application to add to our firmware to make it stand out. Right now, we are trying to finish the flasher and the rest is just beta testing.

Description:
We are a new development team trying to improve the PSP Homebrew Scene. We are trying to be out there and make PSP using easier and a lot more fun. The sexy XMB is designed to be a "signature" of team AOP and are still trying to incorporate it into our firmware. Release is going be to be very soon as soon as we get everything figured out and finished. The password protection will be easy to use and of course, will load before the XMB to ensure you that your little siblings won’t play your games or look at some videos.

Comes with a sleek XMB
Password protection on startup
Includes all features in previous OE and M33 Firmwares
New Recovery Menu
Use XMBs , gameboots, fonts, etc. without flashing (memory stick required)

From what it sounds like from the non flashing statement, it seems like a Dev-Hook like set up, which works for me. One feature I hope can be incorperated, is the ability to run PMP moveis from the XMB instead of PMP Mod, I mean it would be a nice dream at least!

But do you happen to know if it is a possibility to encorperate the PMP through the XMB instead of using PMP mod? Or is that out og the realm of possibility? I was thinking you could make it into a prx file for the SEPlugins, also would there be a chance of a Screensaver?

i would REALLY like to see a make over in the music section of a psp. Like an Ipod style music section. Where it has album art. Where it looks like the ipod touch but you use the analog stick as the flicking thing. That would make me go to them instantly.

A good feature for the new custome firmware are, be able to play .avi and security on the photo and video hard drive. That will be good.

I do like the password protection idea, I had my PSP stolen before, and having that on it, if it were to be stolen, (and I hope not) at least no one could get into it.

I really don't listen to what other sites say. They can bash Team AoP all they want. At least they are doing something creative to the PSP community and giving people choices. From what I hear (most M33 users) M33 is a pile.

how 'bout the ability to tag each music you want to listen to instead of making a playlist you just choose out of the entire list of music which ones you want to listen to only. hmm.....and playing .avi's and .wmv's sounds good too. but mainly, i'd like the tagging thing with the music and stuff. xp
