If you’ve been paying some attention to general PSP news in the past few years, some wild rumors have surfaced regarding the PSP. A favorite oldie is the PSP Phone, which has never been proved to be in the works. Obviously, the creation would be a combination between a cell phone and a PSP. Many a time, the PSP Phone had been "confirmed" as well, only to never occur.
The latest Sony magazine has an article where the words "A new PSP-style phone is apparently in devlopment" were embedded. It even goes as far to say that it could be in stores as early as February.
As a different source, a foreign gaming magazine even claims to have the supposed pictures of the real thing, which is a Sony Erricson PSPhone. Yes, it looks nice, but would it work? And more importantly, is it real??
Regardless, this gets filed under the rumor section until we get solid evidence and proof of a PSP Phone. Stay tuned for developments.
[UPDATE] It appears that these photos are fake. They were simply a mock-up. This doesn’t however, change the fact that the PSP Phone could still exist.
