Today, Phil Harrison quit his day job, more than 15 years after he teamed up with Sony. If you’re wondering why he did it, then you are just as lost as I am.
His official last day will be the final day of the month, February 29th, when Kaz Hirai, the President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment International, takes over Harrison’s position.
Harrison as been with Sony from the beginning of the game, all the way back in 1992, and his most recent job titles included being the President of SCE Worldwide Studios, executive and representative director of SCE, and the executive VP of SCE Europe.
If you still don’t know who this man is, Harrison has been the main keynote speaker for SCE for various events, including E3, TGS, Leipzig, and many, many more.
As of now, we have no idea why Harrison decided to step down, nor do we know whot he long-term replacement will be. Stay tuned.
