Yes, that’s right, there is now a torrent program for the PSP, created by danzel. Ported from the program called Enhanced CTorrent, this homebrew application is VERY minimalistic as of now. It contains no protocol encryption, https support, peer exchange, and more. Again, there really is no need for a PSP to download torrents, but it does work.
The program itself was written in PSPLink, and current does not support 1.5 (meaning no Slim support, sorry). Here is the official log:
Known issues:
- Downloads stop: this usually occurs when a download is going fast (~60k/s), the transfer stops and usually doesn’t start up again. Either wait to see if it starts itself again or quit and restart CTorrentPSP.
- The Interface is boring and there is nothing to do while downloading.
- The bitfield isn’t saved to disk, as such when you quit and relaunch it has to rescan all of the files for complete chunks. I don’t plan on fixing this (or any other problems).
If you feel like it, go ahead and test this app. Take heed when installing it.
