Crisis Core is NOT the end of the FF7 universe
Posted by Darkatomz 250 days ago

Recently, 1UP sat down with Hajime Tabata, the director for FF7 - Crisis Core (which is, by the way, due on store shelves in the US on TUESDAY) for an interview on the game. Among other questions, ranging from gameplay to story details, they asked a question about whether or not Crisis Core was the last project in line for the Final Fantasy 7 universe, which has seen plenty of spinoffs in its lifetime, including Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Last Order, and Before Crisis. Heck, there was even a FF7 snowboarding game for cell phones... Anyways, Here is how Tabata responded:

"No, it does not. The Compilation’s finale will take some other form."

While this may be good to know for most fans out there, could it mean that there will eventually be a PS3 remake of the original Final Fantasy 7? It was never denied that it would happen, and this certainly keeps the thought alive. Only time will tell if it will come or not.
