Sony started the UMD Legacy program for their PSP Playstation Store in fall of 2007. This program composes of PSP titles that were first released at retail via UMD discs. These games are then converted into downloadable data that can be stored and played on the PSP Memory
Stick Pro Duo. The main advantage for UMD Legacy titles compared to regular UMD PSP games is that the former usually sport faster loading times. So without further adieu, here are the top five UMD Legacy games for the PSP so far.

Thanks to the UMD Legacy program, however, PSP gamers are getting a second chance to buy and play this overlooked title.
3. Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

Thanks to the beautiful cel-shaded graphics and engrossing story, Jeanne D’Arc is among the top games in the genre. RPG fans will no doubt enjoy this deep and rewarding UMD Legacy title.

The Syphon Filter series has been slumping around recently with a couple of mediocre games on the Playstation and Playstation 2. Fortunately, the third-person action series managed to redeem itself on the PSP with Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow. The latter is especially great thanks to the revamped cover and melee system. With several online multiplayer modes to boot, Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow is a must download UMD Legacy title for PSP gamers.
