
First movies began to withdraw from UMDs due to low sales, now gamimg companys are getting in to fill the void. Capcom is getting ready to release the 1996 anime
Street Fighter II V, a non-canon series that follows the adventures of a young Ryu and Ken.
Like the DVD version, the anime will come out in all 29 episodes over 5 volumes.
The first UMD with the first 5 episodes will come out during the second quarter of this year with the rest following over the course of the year. Also coming soon will be
Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie, which follows Ryu on his quest to control his darker ambitions and go up against Akuma.
Darkstalkers will also be making an apperance under the titles
Night Warriors Darkstalkers Revenge Alpha and Revenge Omega, both following the dhampir (a Human-Vampire hybrid) Donovan while he comes across the other darkstalkers such as Felicia and Morrigan.
The retail price will be $19.99 for each UMD.
